Convergence Investments, through its multiple investment funds, develops Master Planned Communities across the United States, which focus on progressive sustainability practices, superior design, community connection, and wellness.  Our current projects are located in Delaware and Texas.  Our core business is to raise and manage opportunistic funds, invest in strategic land assets, entitle master planned communities, and construct finished lots for programmatic sales to public and regional homebuilders.   Our office is located Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Project Manager:  Project Manager for the Convergence portfolio. Responsible for managing all aspects of land development projects to achieve quality, timing and budget specifications. The Project Manager will assist Convergence Investments efforts in development activity and construction management. Reporting to the COO the Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the development of our master planned communities, and for coordinating the delivery of paper lots, finished lots, community amenities, horizontal infrastructure, offsite improvements, and all related project and construction management activities for multiple projects in multiple markets. This individual is required to understand all aspects of horizontal construction and have a strong understanding of vertical construction as well.  This role will also require some financial analysis, management of HOA’s and management of internal and external teams. 

Duties and Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

  • Provide input in the civil design of development projects.
  • Hire competent contractors to execute the development plans.
  • Monitor and manage the progress of development contractors.
  • Coordinate with local government inspectors regarding development construction issues.
  • Manage the construction of amenity areas, entrance concepts, and land development plans.
  • Manage and coordinate end of maintenance and community close out to ensure timely bond release.
  • Manage land development schedules and budgets. Ensure projects are complete, on-time and on-budget.
  • Ensure smooth working relationship between government inspectors, contractors, surveyors, quality control professionals and home building partners.
  • Schedule development construction activities to meet the overall project schedule.
  • React to tasks within the time allotment provided.
  • Work with local government officials in acquiring final approvals.
  • Represent the Company in the contractor/local government/homeowner community with a high level of integrity, honesty, and competence.
  • Handle bond requests and letters of credit in a timely manner.
  • Review of development construction invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent years of experience in single-family land development.
  • 3+ years of homebuilding industry experience preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be either a Civil Engineer with single-family residential design experience or a development manager with significant production home builder experience.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Knowledgeable about the construction industry including construction cost, materials, products, methods, and procedures.
  • Ability to make decisions based on construction knowledge, when necessary, due to unexpected field conditions.
  • Extreme self-motivation.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or mission deadlines.
  • Proven organization skills in a high paced work environment.
  • Ability to review, analyze and interpret information as well as trouble-shoot to solve problems.
  • Knowledge of Business English and ability to communicate patiently and professionally with both internal and external customers both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing workplace.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and ability to learn new programs as needed.

Experience

  • Home building or real estate experience preferred.
  • Construction management background with strong analytical skills preferred.

  • Starting salary range dependent on experience.
